Here’s Episode 4, and we hope you can tell from listening to the show that we’re having a great time!
Today we kicked off proceedings with a discussion on insolvency, administration and liquidiation, with thanks to Begbies Traynor for their red flag alert. We did manage to add a note of positivity with a report about falling unemployment for 2018, and brighter prospects for the global economy.
Events highlighted this week:
- How to Think Outside the Box (if you’re going to this workshop come and find Heather & Tracy, who are also attending, and say hello)
- DisruptHR Manchester
- The Business Funding Show 2018
- The Great British Family Business 2018
Will It Make The Boat Go Faster? A very good question and also a very good book by Harriet Beveridge and Ben Hunt-Davies. Recommended.
If you’re interested in HR, leadership and talent then take a look at the video channel for DistrupHR on Vimeo.
Our management guru of the week was Tom Peters, the co-author of In Search of Excellence, The Little Big Things and many, many more.
“The simple act of paying positive attention to people has a great deal to do with productivity.”
“My problem is not that I see all 17 sides of any issue, but that I am equally passionate about all 17 sides simultaneously.”
